Dave Pedri and the EIO Band: 10 am and 7 pm
Local musician Dave Pedri will be performing along with his wife Ruby, and Chynna Randall and Krysta Padilla. Dave and his band will be performing a variety of Polka, Waltz, Folk and country songs on accordion, with vocal accompaniment. They have been performing for over 20 years.
The Beggarmen: 11 am and 5 pm
The Beggarmen, an Irish music band from Rock Springs, Wyoming, performs music both old and new in the Irish traditional style. Fiddle, pennywhistle, bodhran, bass, and guitar combine to continue the great tradition of Irish music in America.
Red Desert Rapture Belly Dancing: 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm
Red Desert Rapture, from Rock Springs, WY, is a newly formed belly dance troupe, but we are not new to dancing. Directory, Kena Wolf, has been dancing for over 11 years and was part owner and choreographer for a troupe in South Dakota. Other members of the group have had a variety of dance experience. We fuse the best of Egyptian, cabaret, Turkish, gypsy and tribal belly dance into our own unique style. Using a variety of music and props, we've created a captivating show for all audiences.
Ballet Folklorico Quetzalcoatl de Utah: 12 pm and 3 pm
The group Ballet Folklorico QUETZALCÓATL, born in early 2014, with the mission to promote and preserve the Mexican cultural traditions expressed in music and dance, recreating in its choreographies the elements that are present in the lives of the different regions of our Mexico in order to share with the public both foreign and domestic natural essence of our roots and future generations.
Our group is comprised approximately 45 dancers and one voice interpreter thus present an hour of entertainment and we present some regions of our country such as: * Guerrero * Yucatán *Nayarit * Veracruz *Jalisco
Eagle Spirit Dancers: 1 pm and 4 pm
A group of 10 dancers that will perform both men’s and ladies’ fancy dancing, jingle dancing, men’s grass dancing, hoop dancing and other traditional dances. Eagle Spirit Dancers Traditional Native American Indian Dancing at Museum of the American West located at 1445 West Main St. Performances are every Wednesday evening this summer from 7-8:30pm against the backdrop of the gorgeous Wind River Mountains.
Pan Jumbies: 2 pm and 6 pm
Get your Caribbean groove on with Pan Jumbies. Led by acclaimed steel pan artist Don Prorak, Pan Jumbies mixes calypso, soca, reggae, ska, jazz, and more, into a vivid world-beat mosaic. The shimmering brilliance of the steel pans, the warm wooden tones of the marimba, and enigmatic vocals dance on the waves of the dynamic, funky rhythm section. Whether you come to listen, to dance, or just for the Caribbean vibe, Pan Jumbies delivers fun and musical artistry for audiences of all ages.
Potcheen: 8 pm -10 pm
Potcheen (pronounced PO'-CHEEN) is the original moonshine whiskey brewed in the hills of Ireland. Potcheen in its Gaelic translation means "Little Clay Pot" thats how they brewed it from Potatoes. Potcheen was formed at an Open Mic hosted by the Capn @ Cactus Jack's Saloon in Evergreen, CO,. One night a tall young Irish lad with big glasses and Red dreadlocks came in and played Shanty's drinking and rebel songs and the Capn was hooked. The Potcheen crew is made up of a collection of talents from all over the U.S. fusing musical backgrounds and cultures into one full throttle rhythmic stew. Not just a Celtic band, their wide range of music has allowed them to play with almost EVERY genre of music out there..
